Gressoney La Trinite



Gressoney La Trinite is one of the two villages in Gressoney (the other being Gressoney Saint Jean). It is located at an altitude of 1,644 meters above sea level. Gressoney La Trinite is the highest village in the entire Lys Valley. It is primarily renowned as a ski resort for its many winter sports facilities, and for the several trips that go up to Monte Rosa.

Gressoney La Trinite’s most appealing characteristic has to be the breathtaking views and vistas that this little village offers. A key feature of this village is the traditional Walser houses (the original inhabitants and founders of Gressoney). These houses are called Stadel and are made of wood and stone. They stand on mushroom shaped pillars which can be a very interesting and curious sight for tourists.

From Gressoney La Trinite, you can ski down all the three valleys of the Monte Rosa Ski area through over 200 km of slopes idea for skiing. For a winter sports enthusiast, as well as the couple looking for a romantic getaway, Gressoney La Trinite is heaven indeed.
